Beers

This is what we currently have in stock. There are other favourites that I’ll add as and when they get brewed again.

Lockdown HPA

I bet there have been more beers called “Lockdown” created over the last 4 months than anything else! Very light in colour and hopped with East Kent Golding and Target. Inspired by the Wye Valley HPA, although it’s so long since I had one of those I have no idea if it’s similar or not!

Right in the Nutkins

A clone recipe that’s meant to replicate the mighty Mad Goose by Purity. Hopped with Northern Brewer, Cascade and Willamette. First brewed on his birthday, the name takes its inspiration from an old seasonnaire buddy of mine’s antics in the Hotel Cristina one night!

La Marmotte D’Or

I’m a massive fan of Hawkshead’s Lakeland Gold. This is my attempt at something similar. Like the Lakeland Gold, it’s hopped with First Gold and Cascade. My first real attempt at creating a recipe, I am super proud of this and it will get made time and again.

Break Stuff

I still haven’t made this according to the numbers. Last time it came out at only 3.5%, but it’s still a pretty tasty oatmeal stout. It wasn’t originally going to be called Break Stuff, but the first day of using the new Klarstein kit did not go well!

Mach 1.1

Supposedly a recipe inspired by the perfection that is Coniston’s Bluebird. A pale ale with Challenger hops. The name is inspired by a design for a rocket-powered supersonic land speed record car planned by Donald Campbell.

John Fred Young’s Drum Tech (JFYDT)

An attempt to create something along the lines of Mary Jane by Ilkley. The story behind the name is a long one, but it relates to the Black Stone Cherry song, Me and Mary Jane. Two variants were originally created – one dry hopped with Cascade, the other with Amarillo.
